For millions of Americans, a home based business is a vehicle for living life in the driver’s seat. For some, it is a way to make part time money to supplement their full time income so that they can create greater financial freedom for their families. Let’s face it, some extra income every month would help a lot of families right now. And when it comes to earning extra part time income, what are the choices? Pizza delivery? Walmart greeter?

Instead, how about, taking the talent and skills you already have and applying them toward a home based start up that you can work part time? The overhead’s already paid for (home office (bedroom/basement/den), phone, computer) .. you just have to find a vehicle that works for you that you can start with little time and little investment.
And then there are others who have grown sick and tired of the daily commute, the work place politics, the cutbacks and the drawbacks of the 9-5 grind and have created a home based business that has become a way of life. And when you realize all of the benefits of working from home, the choice seems pretty clear: wake up when you want to, see your kids off to school and be there when they get home (the savings on daycare alone could be worth $$$$ every year), greater enjoyment and control over your work, relaxed dress code, in charge of your time and schedule, significant tax advantages, no limitations on what you can earn and much, much more.

For many, creating a home based business that actually generates income may seem like a daunting task.. that never gets done. “Coulda” Shoulda” and “Woulda” is the three headed dog that kills most great business ideas. That is why many people are flocking to network marketing as a way to plug into a product line and marketing system that is already proven in the marketplace. The hard part is already done!

Most of these opportunities require little start up capital and can be built on a part time basis until such a time where the opportunity begins to pay a full time income. And then my friend, you have a whole new world of choices available to you. In the infamous words of Johnny Paycheck, the day will come when you can stroll into your bosses’ office and proclaim “Take this job and shove it. I aint working here no more.” That is the day of your emancipation from a job that owns you to a life and lifestyle that you only dreamed of a few short years before.

BTW.. In case you didn’t know it, gone are the days when ‘network marketing’ was a dirty word. Today top entrepreneurs like Buffet, Trump and Kiyosaki recommend network marketing companies at every turn. And recently, Forbes Magazine predicted that there will be no less than 79 million home business start ups over the coming three years. This is the boom industry of today. And there are plenty of legitimate products and business models to choose from.

Do your research, look for an opportunity that suits your lifestyle, get in a business that is ahead of the trends in the marketplace and be prepared to learn new skills and make a commitment to your new venture. Afterall, what’s better.. working 30-40 years in a job that robs you of your youth and vitality.. or working 4-5 years developing a home based business that you own so that you can ENJOY your youth and vitality?
