There are major economic trends that are making home based businesses more available and more appealing than ever.  My research confirmed what I am experiencing first hand.. and here’s what I’ve come up with:

• Increased Outsourcing: As the economy contracts, larger companies shed jobs.

• New Business Opportunities: Changes in an economy — good or bad — bring new opportunities for different types of businesses.

• More Telecommuting: To save money on office overhead and leasing, companies will have many of their more reliable workers telecommute from home.

• From Lay Offs to Home-Based: Many of those who are laid off will gravitate to home-based businesses. Small businesses have been the economic engine of the country, and many of those laid off will add fuel to that fire.

• High-Tech Foundation: Despite the recession, the level of office support technology has never been stronger nor more affordable. This will keep home-based operations on a competitive foundation.
